STAGE FIVE REPERTOIRE
Memorize, play with piano, and perform chosen repertoire. Music listed on the Indiana University String Academy Repertoire List has proven to be effective musically and pedagogically. At the same time, continue to search for new pieces. As teachers we need to remember that performance is the reward for all of the hard work that goes into playing. Performances of excellence are the goal regardless of the age or level of accomplishment of our students. Choose music that is challenging, but that can also be mastered in a given time period. This keeps students motivated and eager for more.
